A life worn away

Once a drawing leaves the paper, can it keep breathing?

A drawing that breathes is like a cloud of blue, or a cluster of yellow light — or a single bloom of light standing there.

And there is a small person, too. He stands inside the drawing, as if standing inside some quiet moment.

From drawing to object

I made this drawing into a piece of clothing.

Not to turn it into a pattern, but to see: once a drawing is worn, will it carry life onward too?

Sometimes a creative object isn't about turning art into a product. It's more like letting art keep us company in another way: through the body, through the everyday, through wind and sunlight, and through the moods we cannot put into words.

If a drawing can be worn away, then it is no longer only a thing on the wall. It can become a small, breathing piece of scenery within life.
